What is the Fund?

The fund has been set up to provide development debt for a wide range of commercial and regeneration property and infrastructure projects within Greater Manchester, Cheshire & Warrington and Lancashire. The Fund is supported by the European Regional Development Fund programmes 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The fund is seeking to invest in projects where there is a clear benefit to the local employment, regeneration, environmental (energy efficiency and low carbon generation) and economic prospects that cannot access debt from traditional sources.

How much funding is available?

The fund has £140m to invest. CBRE is able to structure loans along side other funding sources, and applications from £2m-£50m are welcome.

What form of funding is available?

The Fund provides debt for development projects, and is flexible in providing mezzanine, senior or whole loan solutions. The Fund does not provide grant funding.

Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire

What types of projects can the fund invest in?

There are specific eligibility requirements, please contact us directly with your project details and we will assess it.

What interest rates are charged?

The Fund charges reasonable market-derived rates.

How quickly can terms be agreed?

We can issue high level terms within a week of being provided with requested information.

Are energy efficiency, energy generation and distribution projects eligible?

Yes - we have specific funding for these projects. Generation projects must be low carbon.
